In preparation for introducing the next version of iPad in October, Apple (NASDAQ:AAPL - News) is working with parts suppliers and its assembler, Taiwan's Hon Hai Precision, on trial production runs, reports said. The consumer electronics giant has ordered components such as display panels and chips for the new tablet, which is expected to debut on store shelves in early 2012. The new iPad will feature a high-resolution 2,048 x 1,536 pixels, 9 1/2-inch display, the report said. Apple declined to comment. Apple fell 2.7% to 356.03.
