South Korea advanced to the semifinals of the Olympic men?s soccer tournament with a penalty kick shootout win over Great Britain. Ki Sungyueng scored the winning penalty to setup a date with Brazil in the semifinal on Tuesday.
Ji Dongwon put South Korea ahead in the 29th minute, but Aaron Ramsey scored seven minutes later to tie the game.
But just four minutes later, Ramsey missed his second opportunity to finish a penalty kick and the match remained tied. Neither team found a breakthrough in extra time.
The match eventually went to penalty kicks to be decided from the spot, where every kick taker except Sturridge made his shot
